Exercise 1.1

Hello Fellow Bloggers,
For this exercise, we were to brainstorm words or phrases that came to our mind when we saw the words places, trends, things, technologies, people, controversies, history, jobs, habits, and hobbies. So I wrote them in a list on a word document and here it is...

· ·         Habits
o   God’s name in vain
o   Leaving cell phone on
o   Tapping
o   Whistling
o   Unkown habits
o   Sleep schedule
·         Jobs
o   Stability
o   Increase of lower waged jobs in z future
o   Jobs for next generation
·         Things
o   Annoying tutor
o   Slacking off
o   Sleeping habits
o   College students
·         Controversies
o   Marriages
o   Divorce
o   Violence in other countries
o   Sex trafficking
o   Decisions on marriage in other countries
o   Is counseling for everyone?
·         Trends
o   Facebook
o   Twitter
o   Insta
o   Snapchat
o   Spotify
o   Clothing
o   Jewelry
o   Modesty
·         Places
o   Dictatorship
o   Poverty
o   Children
o   Drug dealing
o   Criminals
o   Cruses
o   Beautiful views
o   Why is America better than others?
o   Why does everyone want to be in America
o   Different cultures
o   Different religions

We are then to find one item in the list we have generated that we see has potiential to write about and circle(underline, highlight, and bold in my case). With the item we have chosen , we are to generate  as many questions as possible on the topic. I again am going to copy and paste my list from a word document as I find this option easier.

Is Counseling for Everyone?
·         Is there a requirement needed to get counseled?
·         What cases are required to get counseling?
·         Is there a line between not enough, just, or too much counseling for a client?
·         Do we have to pay to get professional counseling?
·         In what kinds of life altering times is it necessary to seek counseling?
·         When is it okay to have an intervention for a person saying they will never need anyone’s help?
·         Is counseling seen as the thing to do in other countries?
·         What does professional or something similar to it look like in other cultures?
·         Why do we seek counseling?
·         Should we fully rely on God for our counseling needs?
·         Are all counselors only seeing clients as numbers?
·         Should all counselors be Christian or not Christian?
·         Should all counselors have the same take on counseling?
·         Should counseling be taken seriously?
       What is counseling

After thinking about my topic for a while, this is what i came up with? I did not think I thought about that topic as much as I did until I wrote all those questions. Let the true thinking begin.

Be Blessed,
Jess Guzman
